About

Karen Laing

I am a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional dedicated to promoting health and preventing disease through holistic care and lifestyle interventions. With more than 20 years of experience in nursing and wellness coaching, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse patient populations to improve cardiovascular and overall health.

A native of the Washington, D.C., area, I earned my BSN from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and my Master of Science in Health Promotion Management from Marymount University. I later became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and built a career spanning surgical intensive care and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation at major hospitals in Washington, D.C., and Richmond, Virginia.

In 2015, I transitioned into health promotion and nurse coaching after relocating to the Tampa Bay area. Since then, I’ve become board-certified as a Holistic Nurse (HN-BC), Nurse Coach (NC-BC), and Health and Wellness Nurse Coach (HWNC-BC). My passion for helping clients minimize their use of medications and prevent heart disease inspired me to found All Heart Coaching in 2017.

As a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), I integrate lifestyle interventions into patient care, including in my role at the Center for Preventive Endocrinology and Nutrition. To further expand my impact, I pursued my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of South Florida and am now a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Florida. I am also honored to be a Fellow of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association (FPCNA).

In addition to clinical practice, I have authored and co-authored publications on lifestyle interventions and remain active in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association.

My mission is to help individuals and communities achieve vibrant health through evidence-based, holistic, and sustainable lifestyle practices.

More than 20 years in nursing and wellness coaching, focused on preventing disease through holistic care and lifestyle change. A Certified Health Education Specialist with a BSN from the University of Maryland and an MS in Health Promotion Management from Marymount.
