The goal is to increase the personal wellness of 3.1 million registered nurses and by extension members of their family, community, co-workers and patients. A grand challenge is a bold, audacious goal, which through its achievement makes enormous social contribution. The ANA views its role in society as significant, making many such contributions through its unique and most valuable resource: America’s nurses. The vision is for improving the health of our nation by improving the health of nurses.
