The Valley Hospital received the Institutional Excellence in Holistic Nursing Practice Award from the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA) in Branson, Missouri. This is the first year the AHNA has bestowed this award on an organization.

Valley was recognized for incorporating holistic nursing practices in patient care and for demonstrating the core values of holistic nursing and outstanding professionalism. Special mention was made of Valley Hospital having 56 holistic national board-certified nurses in the organization. Mary Mazzer, RN, HNB-BC, HWNC-BC, was instrumental in these efforts with her team. This distinction affirms Valley’s commitment to providing compassionate, integrative care to patients and their families.
