Re-Imagining the End of Life: Self-Development & Reflective Practices for Nurses 2021

End Of Life Nursing This is a 4-week, self-paced, online course for nurses and nurse coaches, based on the book, Re-Imagining the End of Life: Self-Development & Reflective Practices for Nurse Coaches. (The book is a winner of the American Journal of Nursing’s “Best Books of 2019” award in the categories of Professional Issues and Palliative Care & Hospice.) Nurse coaching conversations involve presence, skillful listening, significant questions, reflection, and planning. They help guide individuals living with chronic and serious illness to make decisions about care and treatment within the framework of their own life story. By opening these conversations earlier in the trajectory of illness, we open the possibility of transforming how people experience the last part of their lives. In this programs, participants will find tools, skill-building, and reflective practices that encourage them to explore their personal beliefs and values about aging, advanced illness, and dying.
